Only Florida residents are eligible to submit plays
The play must be a full-length play, or a series of one-acts with a common theme
No single one-act plays will be accepted
A non-refundable $10 processing fee is required (see Procedures).
Awards
The playwright of the winning play will receive a handsome trophy.
The playwright recognizes that this is a contest, and that the winning playwright for "Best Play" in each season will receive a trophy and the opportunity to have the play reviewed by theatre producers/directors in the greater New York City area.
The playwright will receive no other remuneration from the Festival.
Copyright Release
By submitting a play, the playwright grants the Festival the right to produce the play without receiving any royalty payments.
This copyright release will be rescinded at the conclusion of the Festival season for which the play was submitted.
The recorded copies (DVDs) of the play will be made available only to the author and to the New York City area producers/directors.
Submission Deadline
All plays must be postmarked no later than November 30 each year, and received by us no later than December 10 each year in order to be considered for the following year's season. Plays received after the cutoff date will be considered for the following season.
